We received notification that a student at the high school has tested positive for COVID-19. Those that have had close contact exposure to this person have been notified and are following our exposure protocol . As a precautionary measure we are sending high school students home for the reminder of today to clean the high school building. We will be transitioning to virtual for Thursday, January 7th and Friday, January 8th to allow time for our staff to deep clean the high school and its facilities. Please monitor your student’s health for possible symptoms as well continue to follow safety guidelines by washing your hands frequently, wearing a facemask when interacting with others, and maintain appropriate social distancing. If you start to feel the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, please self quarantine, isolate, and call your primary care physician. We assure you that your child’s health is very important to the faculty and staff here at IHS.
